This is a free community event.
Reception is Friday 4/3, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The evening will also feature live music with Jim Gilmour & Friends and wine and beer selections from Stella’s Divine Wine & Gourmet.

About the Artist
Marina Richmond is a watercolor and ink artist based in Pinellas County, Florida. Her work explores silent observation and presence across figures, animals, and landscapes, often focusing on moments between states: human and nature, life and death, inner and outer worlds, memory and the present. Through luminous color and subtle symbolism,
Richmond blends realism with narrative and magical realist elements. Her paintings emphasize tenderness, an inward gaze, and a sense of remembered place, inviting viewers to slow down and engage with the intimacy and vulnerability held within each image. Richmond grew up between Taiwan and the United States, shaped by a bilingual and multicultural childhood that continues to influence her sensitivity to atmosphere, restraint, and emotional nuance.
She holds a BFA in Communications Design with a focus in Illustration from Pratt Institute, a background that informs her approach to composition and color. She currently exhibits in local Florida galleries and group shows in Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Gulfport, and teaches watercolor at Beach Art Center. In 2025, her painting "Eye of the Storm" won First Place in the 4th Annual Art for a Cause juried exhibition at DRV Gallery—her first juried show and the opportunity that led to this solo exhibition.
